Hey Joanne, I just read In the Godfather's Garden about Ritchie the Boot from Newark. The Soprano's is supposedly based on him. My husband grew up in that neighborhood. It was said he burned bodies in his BBQ pit.
Hi Joanne, I bet Sean Connery's bio is interesting. I love him in any movie. You would like a book I just finished that I want to get for 6th grade. The Omnivore's Dilemma. It is about our food source and how we can feed the population. I am now reading And the Mountains Echoed by the author of The Kite Runner. Once again he has proven not to disappoint. Hope you are relaxing this summer.
I'm reading a sort-of mystery book by Ken Robinson called "Finding Your Element"--the mystery is: why am I reading it? Oh, right--for school, now I remember!
It's about finding those things that give your life meaning and purpose...but I already do that...

ReplyDeleteHi Carol,
DeleteI just finished two mysteries:
The Family Way by Rhys Bowen and
Murder in Chelsea by Victoria Thompson
I also just started a biography on Sean Connery.
The book Godfather's Garden will go on my list since I enjoy books about NJ.

ReplyDeleteCarol,
DeleteIs this book just about the fast food industry, or is it about eating healthy in general...or is it just about how people don't eat right?
